The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, Editor-in-Chief Theoklis E. Zaoutis, MD, MSCE, and Oxford University Press invite you to submit your next article to JPIDS.

The journal is owned by PIDS and will be published quarterly by Oxford University Press in online and print formats. PIDS members will receive complimentary online and print subscriptions to JPIDS with their membership. It will also be distributed to subscribing libraries. Oxford University Press is the publisher of Clinical Infectious Diseases and Journal of Infectious Diseases, the official IDSA journals. Articles submitted to JPIDS will be readily discoverable in Oxford Journals Online, which resides on HighWire Press. Readers will be able to click to the full-text (free of charge) of any articles published on the HighWire platform that are cited in JPIDS. In addition, Oxford will apply for early indexing in MEDLINETM and once indexing is granted, all articles published in the journal will be discoverable on the National Library of Medicine PubMed site.

JPIDS will accept articles furthering research and practice in perinatal, childhood, and adolescent infectious diseases. Article types that will be considered for publication include original research articles, clinical trial reports, guidelines, and topical reviews. Papers by non-members of PIDS as well as from members, and papers from all regions of the world are welcome. There are no page charges to publish in JPIDS, but for those authors whose granting agencies require publication in an open access journal, there are provisions for accepted articles to be handled under the Oxford Open plan. Authors will retain copyright of their articles under the Creative Commons license, which allows unlimited archiving and distribution, within the policies of the license.
