ASP Conference

Fifth Annual International Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference

Sponsored by Children's Mercy Hospitals & Clinics and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society

June 5-6, 2014

The Fifth Annual International Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference, jointly sponsored by Children's Mercy Hospital & Clinics and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society will occur on June 5-6, 2014.  We believe we have another outstanding program with excellent speakers including Lauri Hicks from the CDC.  Again this year we will spend the first day discussing the basics of antimicrobial stewardship and how to develop a program.  For the first time we will have some insight on ways to perform antimicrobial stewardship in the neonatal intensive care unit. The second day will contain outstanding topics including the CDCs work on reducing antimicrobial use and the pharmacists perspective on performing pediatric stewardship in an academic center. Also another great aspect of the conference is the Thursday night dinner that gives everyone a chance to network and enjoy a night of fun and Kansas City barbeque.  To RSVP for the dinner and get details, call 816-234-3061 or email Roberta Morgan This email address is being protected from spambots.
