About the Journal

Launching in March 2012, the Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (JPIDS) will be a quarterly journal, dedicated to perinatal, childhood, and adolescent infectious diseases. It will be a high-quality source of original research articles, clinical trial reports, guidelines, and topical reviews in an essential publication that will take readers from bench to bedside.

Aims and Scope

JPIDS will accept articles furthering research and practice in perinatal, childhood, and adolescent infectious diseases.  Article types that will be considered for publication include original research articles, clinical trial reports, guidelines, and topical reviews.  Papers by non-members of PIDS as well as from members, and papers from all regions of the world are welcome.  There are no page charges to publish in JPIDS, but for those authors whose granting agencies require publication in an open access journal, there are provisions for accepted articles to be handled under the Oxford Open plan.  Authors will retain copyright of their articles under the Creative Commons license, which allows unlimited archiving and distribution, within the policies of the license.
