Improve Influenza Vaccination in Children with Asthma

New Resources to help increase influenza vaccination children with asthma are now available from the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID).  Click below to access various tools and strategies that can be customized for use in clinical settings to help address immunization barriers and improve parent education.

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) supports the goals of NFID's initiative and encourages members to share these materials with colleagues.  More will be developed for use in clinical settings, in time for the upcoming influenza season.

NFID's Influenza and Children with Asthma initiative is made possible by an unrestricted educational grant to NFID from sanofi pasteur.  The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, a non-profit organization of physicians and scientists interested in the treatment and prevention of infections in children, supports the principle of immunization for the prevention of infectious diseases and initiatives for increased utilization of influenza vaccines in the pediatric populations.
