Who Belongs to PIDS?

Membership in PIDS is open to physicians, doctoral-level scientists and other persons who have training or are in the course of training in infectious diseases or its related disciplines, and who are identified with the discipline of pediatric infectious diseases or its related activities. Membership is not restricted by nationality, residence, place of birth, sex, race, creed, age, or condition of handicap.

 

Why Join PIDS?

To receive a yearly subscription to the official PIDS publication, The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, which includes Concise Reviews of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
To keep abreast of the latest advances in pediatric infectious diseases research findings through educational symposia and membership mailings.
To ensure that issues unique to pediatric infectious diseases are thoughtfully considered through collaborative projects with other medical associations such as the Pediatric Academic Societies, American Academy of Pediatrics and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
To have a voice in planning the future educational needs of pediatric infectious diseases fellows.

 

What If I'm a Fellow:

For first, second, and third-year fellows in pediatric infectious diseases, membership dues are waived and subscriptions to the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal for fellows in the United States are provided by a pharmaceutical grant.

How Do I Join PIDS?

If you are a physician or scientist working in the field of pediatric infectious diseases, join PIDS in its mission to advance knowledge of pediatric infectious diseases.   Membership requires completion of a brief application signed by a PIDS member in good standing and the annual dues payment.
