The International Center for Equal Healthcare Access (ICEHA)

ICEHA is actively and urgently recruiting health professionals with expertise in pediatric HIV treatment and prevention. Through ICEHA’s programs experienced healthcare professionals share their knowledge directly with health professionals in emerging countries in order to rapidly scale-up practical clinical expertise among the local healthcare workforce. More information about iceha is available at www.iceha.org, click here to view ICEHA's Board of Directors.

As I’m sure you are aware treatment for pediatric patients is lagging in developing countries. In countries where ART is new there is virtually no local expertise treating children. Clinical mentoring effectively transfers knowledge held in the west directly to the healthcare workforce where ART is recently available.

Assignments are short term – generally 6 to 12 weeks – and all expenses are paid. Requests from the field are increasing and requests for pediatric clinical mentors in particular are on the rise.

ICEHA clinical mentors are able to have an impact in short term assignments right away. You can read about our clinical mentor volunteers’ experiences in their field reports: http://www.iceha.org/newsletter

Please contact Ms. Karina Glaser at glaser@iceha.org if you are interested learning more about ICEHA’s clinical mentoring positions. Contact me at any time if you have any questions (my contact info is below). Please also feel free to forward this announcement on to your colleagues who you think may be interested in international clinical mentoring experience.

Through these experiences each ICEHA clinical mentor will witness first hand how much impact one individual can make toward saving lives!

The International Center for Equal Healthcare Access (ICEHA) is a non profit organization of healthcare professionals who volunteer their expertise on, HIV care and infectious diseases to clinics in developing countries. ICEHA's volunteers equip local healthcare professionals with the skills needed to take care of their own patients and enable developing countries to prevent and treat HIV on their own. ICEHA's clinical mentoring program was specifically designed to rapidly scale up the skills of local caregivers in developing countries. www.iceha.org
